Jury Diversification

The MCBA Diversity Committee proposed a study to analyze the extent of underrepresentation by minorities on juries in New York. The New York State Office of Court Administration (OCA) approved the study in Monroe County and it began in January 2010.The study will analyze two groups- jurors who appear for service and jurors who respond to the initial questionnaire. Preliminary results should be available by the end of the year.
