Foundation
 Welcome to the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar!
Founded in 1951, the Foundation is the charitable face of the Monroe County Bar Association, with a mission of supporting the charitable, educational, civic and humane purposes of the MCBA and its Center for Education. The Foundation is dedicated to: 1. Assisting the members of our Bar Association in need,
2. Ensuring access to justice for all, and
3. Educating the community about our legal system. The Foundation has long supported civil legal services to the poor including the Empire Justice Center, Volunteer Legal Services Project, Legal Aid Society of Rochester and Monroe County Legal Assistance Center. The Foundation is currently conducting its 2009-10 Annual Appeal – The 1892 Fund. As a result of attorney contributions to last year's annual campaign, the Foundation was able to fund a number of worthwhile programs and initiatives, as listed below.
- Deaf Equal Access Fund
- Annual Judicial Evaluations
- Minority Clerkship Program
- Lawyer Succession Registry
- The Partnership for Equal Justice Campaign and
Telesca Center for Justice - Rochester Teen Court
- Sydney R. Rubin Mock Trial Competition.
