As many of you know, Daniel F. Fitzgerald, Jr. passed away February 19, 2010, and was the past Chair of the Lawyers Concerned for Lawyer's Committee and was actively involved establishing the committee approximately 40 years ago.  Daniel helped many attorneys recover from a variety of addictions and find the help they needed over his many years of service both on and off the Committee.   He did much of his work at a time when it was unpopular to do so and contributed to the generally accepted proposition that alcoholism and drug addiction are diseases that can be arrested.  We have received requests from a variety of attorneys in the community who wish to make a contribution in his memory. 

Contributions can be made to the Lawyers Concerned for Lawyer's Fund and can be sent to the Monroe County Bar Association. Checks payable to Center for Education. In the subject line, please write "Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers Fund."
