Lawyer Succession Registry


The Lawyer Succession Registry is a MCBA service offered FREE to  MCBA members. It enables attorneys to plan for law practice contingencies by designating, in advance, another lawyer who is willing to assist in the transfer of client files in the event of attorney disability, death or unavailability.

The Lawyer Succession Registry is a confidential database, for the purpose of transitioning your client files to the client, in the event of death, disability, incapacity, disbarment, suspension, disappearance, termination of practice or retirement.  Simply fill out the Registry form below, providing basic information such as the name, address and contact information of a "designee" lawyer, and return the form to Kathy Fico at the MCBA.
